What we do:

Mesa, AZ, United States
In an effort to help my students realize that they are learning something very important, I have a somewhat different approach to teaching piano. Those that have had lessons with me before, or who are now know that I do not use books. I feel that when I was in lessons if I had to play songs out of a book I would have felt less excited about getting new songs, and less motivated to practice. So my old piano teacher helped me come up with several of the songs that would help to create our very own levels. Now, we have our own program, and if you don't believe it works come out to the next recital :). All in all, I know that the reason these students do so well is because they work so hard in practicing. This is essential to their growth, and I feel that they are more excited to practice when they are treated like adults. Adults don't play out of books with pictures of clowns in them haha. I absolutely love teaching your children, and I am so grateful for how well they are all progressing. Keep practicing, it pays off believe me!

Praising "Hymn" Recital

Last Saturday of June!!!
Don't miss out!  This will be one of the coolest recitals ever seen :).  Your children are working hard to get their songs prepared.  Please come and sing along with us as we celebrate and rejoice in our Savior Jesus Christ.

The Semester of Praising "Hymn"

As many of you know, this past couple of months has been dedicated to teaching my students to play the beautiful hymns and religious songs that bring such joy to the earth.  It has been by far my favorite months of teaching because it is incredible what the spirit can do in helping our students learn such a miraculous talent.  As an update, I would like to announce that the next recital will be held on the last Saturday of June.  I understand that for many of you this may not work.  At the bottom of this post there is a poll where you can love, like, or not so much this post.  If you cannot make it please push "not so much" so I can reschedule if needs be :).  This recital will be a bit different in that it will be a sing along with several other fantastic singers coming in to sing with your children.  I hope this will be a fun way to get your children to stay excited about the great things they are learning.  All of the songs are hymns and/or religious solos.  So come feel the spirit, and the joy on the last Saturday in June.
